The area’s largest shopping center is Everett Mall (www.shopeverettmall.com), with over 140 small shops, as well as giant department stores Macy’s and Sears. Everett Mall Way and intersecting Evergreen Way are also a mecca for discount shoppers, with enough strip malls to keep granny shopping for days.

Along the bay at Everett Marina Village is an 1890s-style waterfront marketplace with restaurants, gift shops, and clothing stores, to name a few.

The Everett Public Market (2804 Grand Ave.) has more than 100 antique dealers, plus fresh fish and produce, and Sisters Restaurant.

For discount shopping, it’s hard to beat Evergreen Way (Highway 99), where all the big stores can be found, complete with acres of paved parking spaces. It’s not the most attractive area, but it serves a purpose. A surprising number of thrift stores cluster around Evergreen at 52nd Street, including Value Village, St. Vincent de Paul’s, Salvation Army, and Children’s Hospital Thrift Store.
