D’Anna’s Café Italiano (1319 N. State St., 360/714-0188, www.dannascafeitaliano.com, $13) is a fine little bistro specializing in homemade pasta, ravioli, and sausage. The chicken parmesan is the best around.
Pastazza (2945 Newmarket Pl. #101, 360/714-1168, www.pastazza.com, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Mon.–Thurs., 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Fri., noon–10 p.m. Sat., noon–9 p.m. Sun., $15) is an excellent place for homemade pastas and wonderful desserts.
For pizza, Rudy’s Pizzeria (1230 N. State St., 360/647-7547, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Mon.–Wed., 11 a.m.–midnight Thurs.–Fri., noon–midnight Sat., 4 –10 p.m. Sun., $15) is popular with the college set and big families. Choose between a range of gourmet toppings, plus several types of crusts and sauces.
