Lake Wenatchee State Park
Lake Wenatchee State Park (23 mi. N. on Hwy. 207, www.parks.wa.gov, $17 no hookups) is a popular year-round recreation area, with cross-country skiing in winter, plus swimming, fishing, and canoeing in summer. The spectacular Lake Wenatchee waterfront is set against a backdrop of majestic snow-covered peaks. Other facilities include boat rentals, weekend interpretive programs, and wooded campsites. A number of sites are plowed for winter camping.
Horseback rides are available in summer from Icicle Outfitters and Guides (509/679-1703 or 800/497-3912).
