Leavenworth’s Icicle Creek Music Center has a series of diverse musical performances, including jazz, chamber music, bluegrass, symphonies, and string quartets. These are held at Sleeping Lady Retreat and Conference Center (7375 Icicle Rd., 509/548-6347 or 800/574-2123, www.icicle.org).
The Leavenworth Summer Theater (509/548-7324, www.leavenworthsummertheater.org) presents very popular all-ages musical productions of such classics as The Sound of Music, Carousel, and Heidi at the Ski Hill outdoor stage.
On a less sophisticated level, accordion-playing musicians and polka-dancin’ fools can be found weekend evenings at Andreas Keller (829 Front St., downstairs, 509/548-6000) and King Ludwig’s Gasthaus (921 Front St., 509/548-6625).
