Slidewaters at Lake Chelan (102 Waterslide Dr., 509/682-5751, www.slidewaters.com, Memorial Day–Labor Day daily 10 a.m.–7 p.m., $17 over 4 ft. tall, $14 under 4 ft.), one of Chelan’s most popular places for children, is a short walk from the downtown area. Ten water slides overlook the town and lake, plus kiddie slides, a 60-person hot tub, swimming, inner tube ride, picnic area, video arcade, gift shop, and concession stand.
Lakeshore Bumper Boats in Don Morse Memorial City Park (Park Rd. and Nixon, 509/793-2126, Memorial Day–Labor Day daily 10 a.m.–10 p.m.) are the floating equivalent of bumper cars—very popular with kids. Paddleboats, miniature golf, and go-carts can also be found in Don Morse Park.
