Wenatchee Valley Museum
Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center (127 S. Mission St., 509/664-3340, www.wenatcheewa.gov, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tues.–Sat., closed Sun.–Mon. and holidays, $5 adults, $4 seniors and students, $1 ages 6–12, free for kids under 5) is one of the most charming museums in the state, housing a surprisingly large collection spread over two floors and two connected buildings.
Wenatchee Valley Museum explores Wenatchee history from its earliest Native American residents through the pioneer days and up to art and miniatures of more recent vintage. Upstairs, you’ll discover an impressive model railroad that chugs through a Cascades mountain setting.
While here, pick up a walking tour brochure describing Wenatchee’s historic downtown buildings.
