Visit the Pasco Farmers Market (4th Ave. and Columbia St., 509/545-0738, 8 a.m.–noon Wed. and Sat. May–Nov. for local produce, sausages, fresh breads, and arts and crafts. This is the largest open-air farmers market in Washington. Don’t miss the tiny powdered donuts. The Kennewick Farmers Market (corner of Kennewick Ave. and Benton St., 509/586-3101, 8 a.m.–noon Wed. and Sat. June–Oct.) is held on Flag Plaza. The West End Farmer’s Market (509/967-0521, Sat. May–Oct.) is at Flat Top Park in West Richland.
Adam’s Place Country Gourmet (910 E. Game Farm Rd., Pasco, 509/582-8564, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Sat., closed Sun.) is located in an apple orchard and makes all sorts of sweet confections, even chocolate-covered pizzas.
Country Mercantile (232 Crestloch Rd., 10 miles north of Pasco, 509/545-2192, 7 a.m.–8 p.m. daily) has a produce market and ice-cream parlor, along with “agricultural entertainment” that includes a seasonal corn-field maze, petting zoo, and pumpkin patch. It’s great fun for families.
