In the back of the Four Seasons Hotel, overlooking the C&O Canal, is one of the city’s newest steak houses, favored by the celebrities who stay at the Four Seasons—people like the Jonas Brothers, Paul McCartney, area local Dave Grohl, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie—as well as Washington power players that include Capitals and Wizards owner Ted Leonsis.
Bourbon Steak is certainly the place for beautiful people with thick wallets, but for a night out, its dark dining room, reached through the lobby of the Four Seasons, a veritable art museum in itself with works by Andy Warhol and Robert Mangold on the walls, is a special place.
From the welcoming staff that makes everyone feel like a VIP to the dishes prepared to perfection, including dry-aged porterhouse and New York strip, duck with foie gras, and Virginia swordfish with baby leeks, black garlic, and bacon lardon.
Dress up, take a few hours, and enjoy being pampered; it’s what the Four Seasons is all about.
