Most recreation around Virgin Gorda takes place on or near the water.
North Sound is the perfect place to try water sports of any kind, and the best place to start is Leverick Bay Watersports (Leverick Bay Resort, 284/495-7376, fax 284/495-7014, www.watersportsbvi.com). Here you can rent gear ranging from a snorkel and fins to a Hobie Wave sail boat. Kayaks, dinghies, and waterskis are also available. Talk to the friendly folks here to plan your day on the water. Bitter End Resort is the epicenter of water sports on North Sound, and you can also rent dinghies and take lessons there.
