Myett’s Garden and Grill (284/495-9649, 11 a.m.–9:30 p.m. daily year-round, 7 a.m.–9:30 p.m. daily in winter, $12–35) is a pleasant oasis at the western end of Cane Garden Bay. Its dining area, built amid lush gardens, is a cool retreat from the heat of the beach, just steps away. Lunch here is a casual affair of wraps, salads, rotis, and burgers. For dinner, things get more sophisticated with seafood pasta, roasted duck, and fresh lobster, plus a loaded grill menu.

In 2004 Quito Rhymer tore down his old, wooden beach gazebo and built a mammoth concrete one in its place. The transformation sacrificed the restaurant and bar’s casual atmosphere but made more space for restaurant seating. Quito’s (284/495-4837, noon–late, $12–35) has a widely varied menu, ranging from casual food like rotis and burgers to upscale entrées like yellowfin tuna and prime rib. He serves a fish fry on Wednesday nights.
