Columbus Sunset Apartments (284/495-4751, fax 284/495-9114, $90 year-round) is a good choice for budget-minded travelers who want to be close to the beach. The two-story concrete hotel is just across the road from the sand at Cane Garden Bay. The 10 one- and two-bedroom apartments have full kitchens and private baths.
Another good choice for no-frills accommodation is Carrie’s Comfort Inn (284/495-9220 or 284/495-4520, fax 284/495-9316, www.stanleyscomfort.com, $100 winter, $65 summer), located 220 yards from the beach. Carrie’s provides all the basics: bed, bath, and living rooms, a kitchenette, air-conditioning, and a balcony. Under the same management, Stanley’s Welcome Villas (284/495-9220 or 284/495-4520, fax 284/495-9316, www.stanleyscomfort.com, $850–1,500 per week), offers one- and two-bedroom villas located in a cheerful pink concrete apartment overlooking Cane Garden Bay. Villas have full kitchens, air-conditioning, living rooms, and balconies.
