Havensight is the outdoor shopping mall located next to the West Indian Company cruise ship dock, the main cruise ship dock on St. Thomas. Havensight has a well-worn, but comfortable, ambience. Shops here are generally open 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Saturday, but some close without notice if there’s no cruise ship at the dock.
In addition to many of the chain stores that you will find downtown and at Crown Bay, you will find the island’s best photo shop (Blazing Photos, 340/776-5547), bookstore (Dockside Books, 340/774-4837), and art supply center (The Draughting Shaft, 340/776-1822) here. The Scandinavian Center (340/777-8620) stocks porcelain, sterling silver flatware, figurines, and unique art pieces from Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.
At the top of Paradise Point, overlooking Havensight, is The Pirate’s Chest (340/774-5279), a gift shop selling so-called pirate booty: coins, jewelry, and other items supposed to have been found at shipwrecks. They also have books and art.
