Best of Jost Van Dyke

Great Harbour: The most picturesque seaside village in the Virgin Islands, the “capital” of Jost Van Dyke consists of a sandy track along the waterfront and a few quiet side streets. Coconut palms, a majestic harbor, and a stately old church round out the appeal.

White Bay: One of the nicest beaches in the Virgin Islands, White Bay is divided in two by a rock promontory. The offshore reef is good for snorkeling; the sand is good for relaxing.

Bubbly Pool: Tucked away on the remote east end of Jost, this is a favorite of hikers and explorers. A nice, private place for a dip, the pool fills with froth and bubbles when the surf is up.

Sandy Cay: A perfect desert island. Relax on the white sand beach, snorkel on the reef, or hike the loop trail and look for bananaquits and boobies.

Beach Bars: No island has better beach bars than Jost Van Dyke. Foxy’s is the most famous, thanks to master entertainer Foxy Callwood, but others, such as Soggy Dollar, Taboo, and Sidney’s Peace and Love, are just as memorable and even more welcoming.
