Obviously a weekend isn’t enough time to see and do all Vancouver has to offer, but a weekend is just enough time to get a taste of Vancouver. To avoid waiting in lines, plan on visiting attractions early in the day and make dinner reservations before arriving. To maximize your time in Vancouver, try to book flights that arrive on Friday afternoon and depart late on Sunday afternoon.
Day 1
Arrive late on Friday and head to dinner in historical Gastown.
Day 2
Rise early to beat the traffic and cross Burrard Inlet to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Allow an hour at this attraction and continue to Grouse Mountain, where a gondola whisks you high above the city in time for lunch with a view. Return to downtown and spend a relaxing afternoon exploring English Bay and Stanley Park, dining at the Raincity Grill.
Day 3
Head over to Granville Island for breakfast and then continue along the waterfront to the Vancouver Museum. Jump in a cab and make viewing the breathtaking totem poles at the Museum of Anthropology your final stop before flying home.
