Some of the best vegetarian eats in town can be found at Govinda’s, where on Thursday night everything is vegan, and on Tuesday authentic Indian food is served. Sunday brunch is served 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m., featuring pancakes, home fries, and scrambled tofu.
The restaurant is located at the Chaitanya Cultural Center, and its name refers to one of Krishna’s many incarnations; you will be among Tucson’s Hare Krishna community here, in a peaceful and always friendly atmosphere that may spark a meditative mood—post-buffet, of course.
