Cactus Moon Café is where Tucson’s cowboys and cowgirls, urban or otherwise, hang out. It has a huge central dance floor surrounded by booths and tables, and a cavernous space that can fit hundreds of Western-clad revelers.
It’s not all line-dancing and honky-tonk shuffling, though; DJs will mix up the broadcast with disco and urban dance music as well. A large University of Arizona student contingent is usually part of the crowd on weekends.
Country line-dancing lessons are offered Thursday 6–7 p.m. and Saturday 6:30–7:30 p.m. On Wednesday, couples can take dance lessons from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
