Apple Annie’s Orchard
Trip Ideas
The Sulphur Springs Valley outside of Willcox has the perfect growing conditions for the apple, peach, pear, and Asian pear orchards at Apple Annie’s (2081 N. Hardy Rd., Willcox, 520/384-2084, www.appleannies.com, July 3–Oct. 31 daily 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m.). From July to late October every year people flock to the “u-pick” farm to pick and purchase fruit by the bucketful.
The farm also serves delicious hamburgers and cowboy beans for lunch, and you can buy all kinds of homemade preserves, sauces, condiments, and pies in the farm store.
Getting to Apple Annie’s
Take I-10 to exit 340, turn west on Fort Grant Road, and travel five and half miles to the Apple Annie’s sign.
