Instead of showers, which don’t usually return to the desert until July or August, April brings the University of Arizona’s annual fund-raising carnival to the Old Pueblo.
A popular local tradition since 1974, the event features carnival rides, food booths, games, and displays operated by various UA clubs and organizations in need of funding. The revelry lasts for four nights at the beginning of April, each one usually crowded with UA students, families, and packs of wild teenagers.
