Beer and sausage are year-round necessities for many of us, but these and other German imports take center stage at midtown’s Hi Corbett Field in early October.
Tucson’s Oktoberfest takes place over four days and evenings and features scores of arts and crafts booths and food and beer vendors, along with a polka band or 20. A dance always breaks out, and there is a lot for the kids to do.
The only thing that separates this local Oktoberfest from one in, say, Wisconsin, is that here you don’t need a coat and gloves.
