Latino Cultural Center
Designed by noted architect Ricardo Legorreta, The Latino Cultural Center (2600 Live Oak, 214/671-0045, www.dallasculture.org, Tues.–Sat.10 a.m.–5 p.m., admission required for some events) is worth visiting for the building itself. Although the 27,000-square-foot facility doesn’t offer any large-scale exhibits, it includes a gallery dedicated to Latino art and a courtyard featuring sculpture from international and local artists.
The center also has a 300-seat theater that hosts occasional cultural performances, and rooms available for readings, workshops, lectures, and meetings related to Latino culture. Check the Web page for event listings.
