Nashville operates seven public golf courses in the city. Many of these are in parks and offer excellent golf in beautiful settings. You can find details about all city courses at www.nashville.gov/parks/golf/golf.htm. Most courses are open year-round; call ahead for operating hours and to reserve a tee time.

Harpeth Hills Golf Course (2424 Old Hickory Blvd., 615/862-8493) is a par-72 course built in 1965 and renovated in 1991. It is located in Percy Warner Park, and is considered one of Tennessee’s best public golf courses. Green fees are $23 on weekdays and $25 on weekends.

Percy Warner Park is home of Percy Warner Golf Course, a nine-hole course good for beginner golfers, available on a walk-in basis only.

Probably the most-used public golf course in Nashville, McCabe Golf Course (615/862-8491) is located in West Nashville near Sylvan Park. McCabe consists of a par-70 18-hole course and 9-hole course. Upgrades have introduced new green complexes and tee complexes. Green fees are $20 on weekdays and $22 on weekends.

The oldest city golf course in Nashville is Shelby Golf Course (615/862-8474), located in Shelby Park in East Nashville. Shelby is a short course with small mounded greens that places a premium on accuracy. Green fees are $16.

Situated on the Cumberland River in North Nashville, Ted Rhodes Golf Course (615/862-8463) is scenic, and pleasant to walk. Built in 1953 as a nine-hole course, Ted Rhodes was expanded to 18 holes in 1992. It is par 72. Green fees are $20 on weekdays and $22 on weekends.

Located near Music Valley in Donelson, Two Rivers Golf Course (615/889-2675) offers a challenging course for golfers of all skill levels. A bonus is the view of the Nashville skyline at the eighth hole. Greens fees are $20 on weekdays and $22 on weekends.

There are many privately owned golf courses in Nashville, some of which are open to the public. Gaylord Springs (18 Springhouse Ln., 615/458-1730), located next to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Music Valley, is a par-72 18-hole course built in 1990. Greens fees are $50–90. Nashboro Golf Club (1101 Nashboro Blvd., 615/367-2311) offers a par-72 18-hole course with fees between $27 and $41. Hillwood Country Club (6201 Hickory Valley Rd., 615/352-5600) is a par-72 6,903-yard course built in 1955. Greens fees are around $85.
