This tiny hole-in-the-wall eatery has won a disproportionately large following for its unique take on Korean street food favorites such as tteokbokki (rice cakes and vegetables simmered in hot pepper sauce) and twigim (battered, deep fried snacks, typically veggies or seafood).
Sak specializes in refined versions of these typically downmarket dishes, incorporating more fresh produce and innovative embellishments such as rosemary-flavored twigim batter. Prices are higher than at the average street stall, but still low, and there’s a nice selection of imported beers on offer for such a small place.
Sak’s only notable flaws are its severely limited seating and cafeteria-style service.
