This weathered-looking, standing-room-only venue is currently the Hongdae area’s top spot for up-and-coming bands, and can trace its seminal role in Korea’s indie scene back nearly two decades.

The acts playing here lean heavily towards the rock, punk, and ska side of the spectrum, with regular appearances by veterans like high-energy “psychobilly” band the Rock Tigers.

When shows are ongoing it can be hot, crowded, and tough to get a drink here, but few places in the city can match the energy of DGDB’s acts and loyal crowd.
