In a strip mall off St. Michael’s Drive, Felipe’s Tacos (1711-A Llano St., 505/473-9397, 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Sat., $5) makes soft tacos just like you get south of the border: steaming corn tortillas wrapped around grilled chicken or steak, or the chile-soaked pork al pastor, and then topped with radish slices, salsa, and lime.
Bigger appetites will want a hefty burrito—The Original is your choice of meat, plus cheese, beans, and generous lashings of avocado. Wash it down with the fresh limeade. Breakfast burritos (9–11 a.m. only) are great, too.
