A number of movie houses entertain Puerto Vallarta residents and visitors. South of Cuale, find the Cine Bahía (Insurgentes 63, btwn. Madero and Serdán, tel. 322/222-1717), which remains a typical 1950s-style small-town movie house. Managers run a mixture of Mexican and American pop horror, romantic comedy, and action, such as The Lake House the The New World, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Another similar neighborhood movie house on the north side of town is the Cine Versalles (Francisco Villa 799), on a side street a block north of the sports field, across the airport boulevard from the Sheraton hotel.
