Started as a New York apothecary in 1851, Kiehl’s has spread its old-fashioned corrugated tin-ceilings and highly organized shelves to this Walnut Street location. Soothing natural and classically fragrant formulas paired with an unending dedication to customer satisfaction (check out all of the free samples) are what set this hair-and-skin-product haven apart.
The unadorned packaging (and maybe also the steep prices) create what could just be a well-marketed illusion that the products provide real medicinal value. Whatever it is, most products do work remarkably well, and smell terrific.
Try the signature unisex Original Musk scent, body lotion, or shower gel, infused with essence of Neroli, Bergamot Nectar, Orange Blossom, and Tonka Nut.
