Philadelphia AIDS Thrift (aka PAT) follows the “one man’s trash is another’s treasure” model. Bring in the wares you no longer need and AIDS Thrift will sell them for you, with a significant portion of the proceeds going to local AIDS/HIV organizations.
This eclectic and eccentric spot has everything from used toasters to movie posters, instructional workout videos, children’s toys, lamp shades, and winter coats. You might have to dig around a bit to uncover the true gems, but rest assured you’ll find them if you have the patience.
