HOURS: Daily noon–8 p.m.

The Philadelphia Record Exchange is a vinyl lover’s dream, with the largest selection in the city. Unless you’re being watched over by a higher power, you’re not likely to find a sought-after hidden classic amid the stacks, since music diehards and deejays regularly troll the shelves. But if your taste is eclectic and you have the time to browse, you’ll probably get lucky and find a few gems.

Record Exchange also buys music, but they are choosy and at times a bit snobby, so go in with a thick skin if you’re looking to sell your childhood memories.
