The selective upscale Oceanaire chain came to a historic building in Society Hill on the edge of Old City in 2007. Overlooking Washington Square, the restaurant has a unique decor designed to resemble ocean liners from the 1920s and ’30s.
The menu changes daily to offer the freshest seafood available. An extensive raw bar offers fresh oysters galore, along with other fish and shellfish. The professional staff prides itself on pairing each dish with the perfect wine, so be sure to get a recommendation from your waiter.
Family-style sides and desserts are enormous and delicious, so try to save some room, and be sure to share with the table.
