Hip, sophisticated bistros come and go like the breeze in Philadelphia’s trendy Old City, but Fork has remained a hit for more than a decade. High ceilings, velvet curtains, wrought-iron chandeliers and pendant lighting create an elegant yet cozy atmosphere.
Owner Ellen Yin and Chef Ngo offer a seasonal menu that changes daily and focuses on locally sourced ingredients. Don’t miss the extensive and generous fruit-and-cheese platter or the strong specialty cocktails.
You can watch the action in the open kitchen, or really be part of it by coming to the bistro dinner at 8 p.m. on Wednesday nights—it’s an excellent way to experience the best Fork has to offer at a lower price with two starters, an entrée, dessert, and wine served at a large communal table for $40.
