This elite sushi chain has seven New York locations, one in Philadelphia, and one in Boston. Housed on a busy Old City corner in a former bank, the Haru Philly outpost has a grand bi-level space with soaring ceilings, massive arched windows, and comfortable, squishy booths that look deceivingly like bamboo.
In addition to the dramatic main area, there is additional seating near the sushi bar and a 2nd-floor bar area. From traditional miso to lobster miso soup, and from classic, fresh sashimi to modern, inventive rolls and hot fusion entrées, the menu is diverse and delicious. A full drink menu includes a variety of sake cocktails.
