Perhaps the most famous member of Stephen Starr’s renowned restaurant empire, Buddakan has a modern Asian-themed atmosphere complete with a massive statue of Buddha. The over-the-top, if borderline cheesy, decor contributes to an unforgettable experience in the low-lit dining room.
The large menu features fusion dishes like wasabi-crusted filet mignon, raw tuna on flatbread, and whole sizzling fish with sweet black-bean chili.
There is certainly more authentic Asian cuisine in the city, but Buddakan offers a fun night-on-the-town atmosphere, delicious but pricey drinks, and undeniably tasty, creative dishes.
