Occupying a 19th-century firehouse that still features the original mahogany interior and brass fire pole, Jack’s Firehouse is one of the most unique dinning experiences in Philadelphia, inside and out. The stellar outdoor dinning area offers views of the historic Eastern State Penitentiary across the street.

Nationally renowned chef Jack McDavid serves hearty portions of flavorful cuisine that showcases locally grown, farm-fresh ingredients. His North Carolina–style crab cakes with corn-chipotle sauce and the grilled pork tenderloin with sweet-potato mash and pineapple sauce melt in your mouth.

Or try the Chef’s Special, a hearty four-course meal for $40 per person. Lunch and weekend brunch menus are also big hits with locals as well as with visitors to the Eastern State Penitentiary.
