If you find yourself in need of a quick bite in Center City, you could do a lot worse than Mama’s, whether you’re a vegetarian or not.

This no-frills kosher eatery stars hefty portions of falafel on freshly baked pita. The sandwich is filling; the platter, which comes with hummus and vegetables, is almost enough for two. The menu is limited, but standouts include the eggplant and the crisp french fries.

The small, packed eatery is not the best place to linger, especially during the lunch rush, but it is a cheap, tasty place to refuel.
