The 19th floor of the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue is dripping with elegance befitting a restaurant occupying one of the city’s finest and oldest hotels. Perfect for a celebration or romantic dinner, XIX (pronounced "nineteen")offers outstanding new American cuisine, and the knowledgeable sommelier makes excellent pairing recommendations from the extensive wine list.
Innovative chef Marc Plessis takes full advantage of seasonal and local ingredients, and his creative flavor combinations always seem to hit the mark.
A raw bar occupies the center of the main dining room under the high domed ceiling. But the most alluring aspect of the room is the spectacular view of the city through the expansive windows.
If you don’t have a few hundred dollars to drop on dinner for two, you can still enjoy the elegant atmosphere with breakfast, lunch, or brunch or a visit to the bar, which offers an ample, delicious menu at much lower prices. A classic afternoon tea is served by reservation only.
