HOURS: Tues.–Sun. 11 a.m.–midnight
COST: Most entrées less than $10
Feelin’ hot, hot, hot? Szechuan Tasty House has some of the most flavorful, spicy food in Chinatown. Most dishes are not just hot, but also wonderfully flavored.
Tell your server if you want more or less spice; they sometimes discourage their American guests from the super-spicy because they don’t believe you can take it, so be clear about what you want.
Don’t miss the dumplings in hot-pepper oil as an appetizer and the three-pepper chicken or classic Sczechuan beef as entrées.
A variety of noodle dishes and vegetarian dishes, including well-prepared tofu, are also excellent.
