One of the biggest draws to Bucks County for Philadelphians and New Yorkers is the unique shopping. New Hope and Lambertville have shops galore lining Main Street in New Hope and Lambertville, Union Street in Lambertville, and Bridge Street, which traverses both towns across a small driving and walking bridge. Shops include antiques, art galleries, and collectibles, along with contemporary clothing, furniture, and home accessories.

Just outside of New Hope in Lahaska, Peddler’s Village (U.S. 202 and Rte. 263, 215/794-4000, www.peddlersvillage.com) is also a local favorite, with around 75 unique shops connected by brick walkways spread over a quaint 42-acre village. Here, you can also stay overnight in the Golden Plough Inn, choose from six on-site dining options, and keep kids entertained in the Grand Carousel and a children’s play area, Giggleberry Fair.

Just across the street from Peddler’s Village, the Penn’s Purchase Factory Outlet Stores (5881 York Rd. at U.S. 202, 215/794-0300) offers more than 40 name-brand shops with discount prices.

Nearby, Rice’s Market (6326 Greenhill Rd., Solebury, 215/297-5993, www.ricesmarket.com, Tues. 7 a.m.–1:30 p.m. year-round, Sat. 7 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Mar.–Dec.) is an open-air market selling antiques, collectibles, new and used clothing, and gourmet treats.

The Golden Nugget Antique Flea Market (1850 River Rd., 609/397-0811, www.gnmarket.com, Wed. and weekends 6 a.m.–4 p.m.) is another unique market. On Sundays, the busiest day, sometimes as many as 400 vendors set up shop selling a wide variety of antiques, crafts, and more.
