For more than 30 years, the Clay Studio has been a veritable fixture in Philadelphia’s urban art community. As you walk down the hallway leading to the gallery, which features funky mosaic tile work by local artist-celeb Isaiah Zagar, you’ll know you’re in for a treat.
The gallery displays juried solo exhibits, work from local emerging ceramists, and artists from its highly competitive studio-run residency and fellowship programs.
The Clay Studio offers a little something for every taste, ranging from functional vessels like coffee mugs and vases to more conceptual work like sculptures and installations.
