HOURS: Mon., Wed., and Fri. 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Sept.–Mar.
An impressive donation by the University of Pennsylvania’s Class of 1923 funded this facility. Built in 1972, it is located in University City just across the Walnut Street bridge from Center City and is frequented by Penn students. Home to collegiate events for more than 30 years, ice hockey, figure skating, and speed games are common practice at the rink.
University of Pennsylvania Arena boasts 18,000 square feet of skating surface, six locker rooms, and 2,900 seats, and is open to the public for skating when other events are not taking place.
