Established in 1977, Sedgeley Woods Disc Golf Course is the second-oldest disc golf course in the country and it occupies a lovely setting in East Fairmount Park. As its name implies, the sport is a combination of Frisbee (the only equipment used) and golf (the object is to hit specific targets in the least amount of attempts).
The course and parking are free and open to the public. A doubles league is held every Thursday year-round and can get quite competitive.
Sedgeley Woods Disc Golf Course is considered a great course by disc golf aficionados, the woods provide many natural obstacles. It’s BYOD: Bring your own discs.
