Named for Ben Franklin’s famous almanac, the majority of Poor Richard’s Walking Tours are led by professional scholars, history teachers, and graduate students from the University of Pennsylvania.

They range from general three-hour history tours to themed tours, including: human rights struggles in the city; Colonial Philadelphia, the 19th-Century City; Ethnic Philadelphia: Chinatown to South Philadelphia; West Philadelphia: Past & Present; The University of Pennsylvania & Environs; and The Streetcar Suburb.

With highly knowledgeable and insightful guides, these tours are far more educational than most. Customized tours are available for groups, and prices and times vary.
