Festivals and Events
Philly has many festivals throughout the year, especially during the spring and summer. There are also events during the holidays, which are typically celebrated with a parade and/or fireworks.
The winter holiday is kicked off with a Thanksgiving Day parade, and soon after, signs of Christmas light up Center City. The last hurrah of the year is the New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
There are often cultural celebrations in honor of Chinese New Year and Black History Month, as well as a St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Here is a sampling of some of the best and biggest annual events; be sure to visit www.gophila.com/Phila/EventsCalendar, www.phillyfunguide.com, and the festivals’ websites for more comprehensive listings and exact dates.
