Visitors can make an easy one week loop through this region. A day spent in Buffalo is a good departure point for an overnight to Niagara Falls. You can head out from the falls to a unique experience on an Erie Canal boat rental to explore sleepy historic villages in the mode of folks long ago.
By boat or lazy drive from the Falls, spend a few days making your way west to enjoy Rochester’s lively cultural scene. Then complete the loop by returning to Buffalo. Rochester is also a good departure point to explore the Finger Lakes region to extend your trip.
