The only complete Tiffany chapel known to exist, the Willard Memorial (17 Nelson St., 315/252-0339, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tues.–Fri. and summer Sat. mornings, suggested donation $3) glows with the muted, bejeweled light of 15 windows handcrafted by the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company. Louis C. Tiffany also designed the chapel’s handsome oak furniture inlaid with mosaics, leaded-glass chandeliers, and gold-stenciled pulpit.
A visit to the chapel begins with a video on the chapel’s history and the now-defunct Auburn Theological Seminary of which it was once a part. In July and August, free organ recitals and concerts are played in the chapel.
