Staten Island Institute of Arts & Sciences
Two blocks from the ferry terminal in St. George is the Staten Island Institute of Arts & Sciences (75 Stuyvesant Pl., 718/727-1135, www.statenislandmuseum.org, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 1–5 p.m. Sun., suggested admission adults $2.50, students and seniors $1.50), also known as the Staten Island Museum. Founded in 1881, the institute features small but well-done changing exhibits on the arts, natural sciences, and culture of the borough.
