Go green—quite literally—with a little help from the stock at Dartmouth Co-op (21 S. Main St., Hanover, 603/643-3100, www.dartmouthcoop.com, 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Mon.–Fri.; 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sat.–Sun.). Here, everything from golf hats and tote bags to sweatshirts and sleepwear comes emblazoned with the school’s logo. All royalties from the store go directly to the college.
Stylish denim and various designer pants and frocks hang on the racks of Campion’s Women’s Shop (44 S. Main St., Hanove], 603/643-1700, 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m. daily), where you’ll also find a solid selection of upscale cosmetics and beauty products.
Indulge the pickiest sweet tooth at Chocolate Now (3 Lebanon St., Hanover, 603/643-9031, www.chocolatenow.com, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon.–Sat.), stocked with specialty and artisan chocolates, imported and locally made alike.
Pick up everything you need to revamp your home—including design advice and services—at C. Beston & Co. (1 South St., Hanover, 603/653-0123, www.cbeston.com, 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Sat.). Mostly, however, they spotlight furnishings and accessories, from overstuffed chairs and painted benches to carved clocks and funky vases.
One could spend hours rifling through the aisles of Left Bank Books (9 S. Main St, Hanover, 603/643-4479, 10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sat.–Sun.), which carries loads of fiction (classic and contemporary), poetry, how-tos, and kids’ books. Stock up on everything you need—except, perhaps, the time to read them all.
