The Bavarian setting may be faux, but the chocolates at Kellerhaus (259 Endicott St., Weirs Beach, 603/366-4466, www.kellerhaus.com, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Wed.–Mon.; closed Tues.) are certainly not. Swing by to get your sugar fix, à la maple candies, fudges, peanut brittle, and pecan bark.
There’s no guarantee you’ll be as emphatic about Yikes! Gallery (23 Main St., Center Harbor, 603/253-4966, www.yikesgallery.com, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon.–Sat.; 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sun.) as the store’s name seems to be about itself, but odds are good you’ll still find something worth taking home. Between the all-natural transparent soaps (all handmade), the cat-shaped blown glass, and the cases of funky silver jewelry, it’s a complete selection.
Stock up on annuals, perennials, and maybe a bouquet of hand-cut flowers while you’re at it at Petal Pushers Farm (2635 Parade Rd., Laconia, 603/524-7253, www.petalpushersnh.com). Prices are good, the blooms are well cared for, and you can reward yourself for your smart purchase with an ice cream cone from the concession stand on your way out the door.
