The famous libertarian streak that runs through the New Hampshire psyche holds itself in proud contrast to its liberal-leaning neighbors. The state’s terrain, formed around the backbone of the White Mountains, is just as rugged, drawing thousands of rock climbers and hikers every year to scale the peaks of the Presidential Range.
Almost as popular is the summer paradise of Lake Winnipesaukee (bonus points for spelling) and the state’s sliver of coast, packed with amusements and the architectural gem of Portsmouth.
