Provincetown Art Association and Museum

It isn’t everywhere you can visit and view dozens of artistic renderings of the places you’ve just seen. Since the 1920s, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (460 Commercial St., 508/487-1750, www.paam.org) has been offering instruction to artists young and old at its P-Town campus. Over the years, it has collected thousands of paintings from artists like Charles Hawthorne and Ross Moffet, who have gone on to achieve some measure of fame. The collection, along changing exhibitions on Cape Cod themes, is displayed in a new waterfront museum.

Pilgrim’s First Landing Park

Step on the same ground that the pilgrims did at Pilgrim’s First Landing Park at the west end of Commercial Street. A plaque there memorializes the Pilgrims’ touch-down on November 21, 1620.
