The Grand View Terrace
Trip Ideas
The pedestrian walkway that begins at the entrance to the monument and passes through the Avenue of Flags terminates at the Grand View Terrace. Appropriately named, the terrace looks straight across at Mount Rushmore and is one of the best locations in the park for photographs.
Directly in front of the Grand View Terrace, but below the sightline to the monument, is the outdoor Amphitheater, which is used for the park’s evening programs during the summer months.
